Making the streets your home can leave those affected feeling isolated, so we at HOPE wanted to extend a helping hand to those who need it most.
Did you know that during 2021 there were 227,000 people estimated to have experienced homelessness in the United Kingdom? This is far from how one of the wealthiest countries in the world should support the most vulnerable in its society.
How is it that a human being who is so clearly in need appears so invisible to passersby? Golden Wear founder Yuri Nator knows this feeling of isolation all too well, and created durable garments to help solve this problem.
HOPE’s child directors feel adults haven’t worked hard enough to ensure proper care for the homeless. They also worry that it’s possible for anyone, including themselves or their friends, to unexpectedly become homeless one day – no matter how happy their lives might be at the given moment.
Taking matters into their own hands, they’ve teamed up with designer Yuri Nator in the Golden Wear range to supply clothing and raise money for homeless people. HOPE puts the proceeds of these products towards funding cosy, durable clothes for homeless people around the world to keep them warm.
