A QUICK NOTE FROM OUR 14 YEAR OLD LEGAL GURU

I’m Barnaby, HOPE’s 14-year-old legal guru. We put cookies on your computer but they’re not very good because you can’t eat them. I tried and the IT people told me off! There are 3 different types of cookies we use. The first type is important coz you can’t buy anything without em. The second type helps you see the fings on our website that you like. Then there are third party cookies, even though when I was 3 none of them came to my party. They make fings work – except Peter, coz he’s lazy. Please click to learn more because my legal team wrote somefin much better and you should read it before you click accept.

  • HOPE 5D Limited (company no. 12026927) (“us”, “our”, “we”) aims to provide users with a pleasant experience when browsing our website.
  • We use cookies to distinguish you from other users, improve our website, enable you to add items to your shopping bag and analyse visitor’s numbers and behaviours.
  • You can control the use of cookies through your browser settings. The cookies used for our sites can be used to identify you personally.

What is a cookie?

  • A cookie is a small file of letters and numbers that we store on your device (computer or mobile device), if you agree, when you first visit a website. Generally, cookies are used to enhance user experience, but some are essential to access our website and our service.
  • Cookies do not typically contain any information that personally identifies a user but personal information that we store about you may be linked to the information stored in and obtained from cookies. Where 'personal data' is processed by these cookies, we are the 'data controller' of that information, within the meaning of applicable data protection legislation
  • Cookies can be used by websites to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website and identify users returning to a website.

2. Types of cookies:

  • Essential cookies: These are used to operate the core functions of our website, so that you may visit, move around it and use its features. You do not need to consent to these cookies in order for us to use them but you may be able to block them on your browser. However, without these, the proper functioning of the website will be affected and you will not be able to access any of the features of the website (signing into your online account, adding products to cart). These cookies do not store any personally identifiable information.

  • First Party Cookies: Set and collected by the website itself, and only used by the site when a user is visiting it.

  • Session Cookies: Only stored in a browser's memory until it is closed down. Used for many essential site functions, such as quickly loading a page.

  • Third Party Cookies: These are cookies that are created by external domains (or websites) we use on our website. These are usually used for advertising, sharing videos, social media and informing third parties about your use of our site in order to deliver targeted messages and advertising to you. We do not have access to the information stored by these cookies and they are subject to the cookies policy of the third-party organisations.

  • To use our website, you will be required to accept cookies, as we can only provide you with certain, personalised features of our website by using them.
